Our Story
The Name
We opened our takeaway in 2009 under a different name. But, soon after we started getting a reputation for selling the best fish & chips around, and new customers on entering would often ask:
“Is dit die fish & chips plek?”
From there, it only made sense to change the name and a legend was born.
Our Philosophy
Our reputation has been built upon and developed through hard work and high quality. We pride ourselves in being able to provide generous portions of great food at reasonable prices.

The judging panel included popular television chef and cookbook author Zola Nene, chef, restaurateur and caterer Arnold Tanzer and the South African Chef’s Association.
